Welcome to my Tribute Fund. I have created this page to help raise money for Motor Neurone Disease Association in memory of my partner Michelle. Please consider making an online donation or if you prefer you can help me raise money for this Tribute Fund by creating an online sponsorship page to mark a special event or occasion. Michelle was diagnosed with this terrible disease in July 2006 after developing a weakness in her left leg in the April of that year. Symptoms developed very quickly, she lost her ability to walk completely by the following month, the use of her hands by the middle of August and by the end of that month required a machine to help her breath at night. She fought bravely, somehow managing to keep her sense of humour, she never asked why her. Both Michelle and I were helped by so many people, in the MND association, NHS and associated professions, many of which we came to trust and to regard as very dear friends. Michelle lost her ability to speak and became totally dependant on the machine for her breathing. She got her wish of spending her last Christmas at home with her three boys, family and loved ones. She left us on 15th January 2007. All money raised on these pages will be earmarked as being donations made via this Tribute Fund when they reach Motor Neurone Disease Association.
